The Austrian Preminger, brother of director Otto, worked as both an agent and producer. Of only three feature film credits, Korean war comedy M*A*S*H (1970) was his biggest success, winning the Palme D'Or at Cannes and then adapted as an equally successful television series that ran for over 10 years.
