Documentary filmmaker
A former photojournalist, Poveda worked extensively in war zones and areas of violent conflict. This, along with his evident powers of persuasion, led to his first feature documentary La Vida Loca (2008) which was three years in the making and explored the brutal lives of gang members in El Salvador.
