Suzanne Pleshette

Moving from theatre to film, Pleshette won roles in Rome Adventure (1962), 40 Pounds of Trouble (1963) and Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963). But she found greater success on television, most notably in The Bob Newhart Show (1972-78), and the title role in Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean (1990).
