Sir Bob Phillis

A former newspaper executive, Phillis held key positions at Central and Carlton Television, after which he served as chief executive of ITN between 1991 and 1993. He later assumed the role of BBC Deputy Director General between 1993 and 1997, also serving as head of BBC Worldwide during this tenure.
