Put under contract by Lew Grade while still an Oxford undergraduate, Paul wrote for many popular shows and for the stage. His credits include episodes of Upstairs, Downstairs (1971-75), The Duchess of Duke Street (1976-77), Sorrell & Son (1984), The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984-85), Campion (1989-90) and Lovejoy (1992-94).
