A cameraman with ITN from its 1955 outset, Page had previously covered the Korean War and when the Suez Crisis erupted in 1956 he was the pool cameraman sent to cover it. A decade later, in the Nigerian Civil War, he helped save the life of wounded reporter Peter Sissons.
