Sven Nykvist

Cinematographer

A Swedish cinematographer associated with Ingmar Bergman, Nykvist lit such films as Through a Glass Darkly (1962), Cries & Whispers (1972) and Fanny and Alexander (1982) for his compatriot. Others include Crimes and Misdemeanours (1989), Chaplin (1992) and Sleepless in Seattle (1993). He also wrote and directed The Ox (1991).
