Highly respected in the theatre, Normington also enjoyed an extensive if lower profile screen career. He contributed guest roles to a great many popular series from Softly Softly (1969) to an instalment of Doctor Who (1984) to Casualty (2007). His few films include A Private Function (1985) and Wilt (1989).
