A lifelong sports fan, Norman joined the BBC as an engineer and rose to the position of producer on flagship shows such as Grandstand and Match Of The Day. But his proudest moment was filming the six sixes that Garry Sobers hit in one over for Nottinghamshire away to Glamorgan.
