A British special effects technician who worked on ten James Bond films from A View To A Kill (1985) through to Skyfall (2012), Finlayson was affectionately nicknamed ‘The real Q’. He honed his craft on Gerry Anderson’s Terrahawks (1983-1985) and worked on films including The Dark Knight (2008), Edge of Tomorrow (2014) and Detective Pikachu (2019).
