A lifetime spent in domestic service stood Mott in good stead for a late flowering television career. In retirement she presented The Victorian Kitchen (1989) on the BBC, bringing that period alive through her own memories and insights. She also served as a consultant on Robert Altman’s Gosford Park (2001).
