A suave Mexican actor, Montalban’s exoticism underpinned his most famous roles, as the mysterious host of Fantasy Island (1978-84) and the eponymous villain of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). He also appeared in Sweet Charity (1967), two Spy Kids movies (2002/03) and TV series The Colbys (1985-87).
