Richard Mayes

Predominantly a stage actor, Mayes was well respected within the industry and was consequently much in demand. He was cast in several popular television programmes, including Doctor Who (1968), Wings (1978), Tycoon (1978) and Emmerdale (2002). And while film appearances were fewer they included Gandhi (1982) and Top Secret! (1984).
