Eric Longworth

Experienced character actor Longworth will be best remembered for his recurring role as Walmington-on-Sea town clerk Mr Gordon in the much-loved sitcom Dad’s Army (1972-77). Other roles came in series including Z Cars (1963), The Saint (1967), The Forsyte Saga (1967) and – playing two different characters – Coronation Street (1967, 1976).
