An American actress who was a stalwart of Westerns and sci-fi flicks in the 1950s, Mitchell was best known for her role as the villainous Queen Yllana in Queen of Outer Space (1958). She also starred alongside Marilyn Monroe as a member of Sweet Sue’s band in Some Like It Hot (1959).
