The effervescent shop assistant Mr Humphries in Are You Being Served? (1972-84) dominates Inman's career, helping him to two hit records, several summer seasons and a 1977 film spin off. His other comedy series include Odd Man Out (1977), Take A Letter Mr Jones (1981) and Grace & Favour (1992).
