Winning the world circus championships at the ripe old age of 64, Hutch was building upon a lifetime's experience in circus, music hall and variety. He was a stooge to Benny Hill on his popular TV show (1985-93), and advised Robert Downey Jr in the slapstick arts in Chaplin (1992).
