A genial and well-liked BBC producer, Hill worked under Rowan Ayers on the influential Late-Night Line-Up, and subsequently executive produced its successor, Up Sunday (1972-73). He went on to work on The End Of The Pier Show (1974-75) and further popular satirical programmes such as Rutland Weekend Television (1975).
