A six time BAFTA nominee, Hambling collected three awards for his work on Midnight Express (1978), Mississippi Burning (1988) and The Commitments (1991). Closely associated with director Alan Parker, he edited many films for other filmmakers including Jim Sheridan’s In The Name of the Father (1993) and The Boxer (1997).
