A familiar voice across a range of sports, Gubba presented such flagship programmes as Sportsnight, Grandstand and Match of the Day. He commentated on every Olympics – summer and winter – between 1972 and 2012, and every World Cup between 1974 and 2006. Latterly he commentated on ITV’s Dancing On Ice (2006-13).
