A French actor in great demand, Giraudeau took roles in such films as The Medic (1979), L’autre (1991), Le fils préféré (1994), Ridicule (1996), Marquise (1997) and Water Drops On Burning Rocks (2000). He also made his own films occasionally, writing, directing and starring in Les caprices d’un fleuve (1996).
