As one of Russ Meyer’s repertory, Furlong’s distinctive tones were frequently deployed to set up – or make sense of – the plots in movies such as Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965). He also appeared on television and in other films including The Front Page (1974) and All The President’s Men (1976).
