David Fanshawe

19 April 1942 - 5 July 2010

Composer

Trained as a sound engineer, Fanshawe evolved into a classical composer best known for African Sanctus which was subject of a 1975 documentary. He also composed music for film and television productions, among them When The Boat Comes In (1976-81), Tarka The Otter (1979) and Mountains Of The Moon (1990).
