Emilfork's most memorable roles capitalised on his striking physical appearance. He was cast as Satan in La Plus Longue Nuit du Diable (1972), aka The Devil's Nightmare, and played an evil scientist intent on stealing the dreams of the young in Jeunet & Caro's The City of Lost Children (1995).
