Best known to television audiences for his recurring role as PC Sweet in 75 episodes of Z Cars (1962-69), Edmond subsequently appeared in other series such as Trial (1971), My Wife Next Door (1972) and Dear John (1986-87) and between 1970 and 1972 wrote two episodes of the Comedy Playhouse.
