Dobson shot to fame for her eponymous performance as special agent Cleopatra Jones (1973), and its sequel Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold (1975). Her success did not last much beyond the blaxploitation era, with other film roles including Fuzz (1972), Norman...Is That You? (1976) and Chained Heat (1983).
