Creator of the enduringly popular stop motion character Gumby, Clokey first introduced him on The Howdy Doody Show (1956) on US television, before spinning off into The Gumby Show a year later. He also produced the animated series Davey and Goliath (1960-77), as well as directing Gumby: The Movie (1995).
