A science fiction visionary, Clarke wrote short story The Sentinel, subsequently adapting it with director Stanley Kubrick to make 2001; A Space Odyssey (1968). A prolific author, he also hosted documentaries including Arthur C. Clarke’s Mysterious World (1980), ...World Of Strange Powers (1985) and ...Mysterious Universe (1994).
