A talented actress born in Australia and trained at RADA, Cilento found early success with a role in The Admirable Crichton (1957). She was Oscar nominated for her performance in Tom Jones (1963) and also starred in The Agony and The Ecstasy (1965), Hombre (1967) and The Wicker Man (1973).
