As a colour consultant at Technicolor Bridge contributed to movies including The Life And Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) and A Matter of Life & Death. After switching to costume design – in collaboration with Elizabeth Haffenden – she won a BAFTA for her work on A Man For All Seasons (1967).
