Although his writing career began on radio favourite Life With The Lyons, extending to mainstream television comedy The Frost Report (1966-67) and Dave Allen At Large (1971-79), Block’s real legacy lies in children’s television. He wrote for Crackerjack (1964-73) and created the series Pardon My Genie (1972-73) and Rentaghost (1967-84).
