Indian-born television producer and documentarist Bhattacharyya was co-founder of the production company Maya Vision. The Anglo-Indian influences in his upbringing served diverse productions such as The Jewel in the Crown (1984) and Great Railway Journeys of the World (1989) on which he served as adviser on Indian life and culture.
