A French actress who came to prominence in the French New Wave, Karina regularly appeared in the films of her then husband Jean-Luc Godard, such as Une Femme Est Une Femme (1961), Pierrot le Fou (1965) and Alphaville (1965). Her other credits included La Religieuse (1966) and The Stranger (1967).
