Armando Iannucci, acclaimed writer, broadcaster, director and producer has delivered the annual BAFTA Television Lecture.

The creative force behind BAFTA Award-winning comedies The Thick of It and I’m Alan Partridge took to the stage on 10 September for the 2012 edition of our lecture series.

Sharing his views on the creative landscape in television Iannucci called for the TV industry to be bolder and more aggressive in their promotion of British Television. In particular, the lecture entitled ‘Fight, fight, fight’, urged a bolder approach to promoting content abroad.
