Dream of becoming a presenter and interviewing famous faces from the world of film, games and TV? Our Young Presenters competition is for you.

Every year BAFTA runs a competition to find aspiring young presenters to host our events and content for children and young people. Two lucky winners, one aged 10-14 and one aged 15-18, then have the chance to front content for the Young BAFTA YouTube Channel and represent BAFTA at special events around the country.

Young Presenters FAQs

  • The application process usually involves submitting a short themed film. The 2024 theme was My Voice Matters to tie in with Children’s Mental Health Week. The 2025 theme has not yet been announced.

  • The 2024 BAFTA Young Presenters competition is now closed. We will update this page when we reopen for 2025 entries in February.

  • Young Presenter workshops are included in BAFTA’s year round activity and are designed to help you build confidence and get used to receiving feedback. We run these as part of our outreach programmes with partner organisations like children’s mental health charity, Place2Be, as well as at the annual Young BAFTA Showcase at BAFTA HQ.
