Sunita Mirchandani Hyams is a producer with a career spanning more than 20 years in the screen industries. Her credits include a range of productions, from big budget studio formats to short films and independent features. Sunita previously worked at various high-profile companies, including Endemol Shine, Lime Pictures and Mentorn, where her credits included The Biggest Loser (2011), Oscar Pistorius: What Really Happened? (2013) and The Only Way is Essex (2014).

In 2020, she co-produced her first independent feature, Big Boys Don’t Cry, which debuted at number three on Netflix on Christmas Day in 2022.

That same year, Sunita collaborated with Luke Hyams to create Pangaea, a production company that focuses on stories that encourage cross-cultural collaboration. Since its inception, Pangaea has built up a healthy slate of unscripted and scripted programming. Sunita is currently in production on two (soon to be announced) series for international streamers and has two scripted features from emerging writers in development with the BBC.

Pangaea’s first production, The Sidemen Story, a documentary about the pioneering British content creators collective, hit the top spot in Netflix’s feature film charts when it was released in February 2024.
