The 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises: Portraits
Sarah Webster is a makeup artist from West Yorkshire. She is awarded the BAFTA Scholarship to support her completion of the Intensive SFX, Hair & Makeup Course at the Christine Blundell Makeup Academy for Film & Television.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Makeup and has gained experience working on major film and TV productions. Despite missing key training opportunities due to the pandemic and balancing the demands of parenthood, Sarah has shown exceptional resilience and drive to succeed in her chosen field. She created a popular trainee starter pack for fellow aspiring artists and was named Volunteer of the Year by the Royal Mint for her work with underprivileged and underrepresented groups. Now ready to take the next step in her career, Sarah is using the BAFTA Scholarship to strengthen her skills and prepare for a more senior role in the industry.
She said: “Receiving the BAFTA scholarship is a life changing opportunity. It’s the support I’ve been waiting for to take the next step in my career, and to develop my skills with confidence, learn from industry leaders, and prepare for more step up roles. After years of pushing forward despite personal setbacks, this means everything. It’s not just helping me grow, it’s helping me continue to uplift others and work towards a more inclusive and supportive industry for the next generation”.
