Nacressa Swan is an experienced and creative development executive and series producer, specialising in premium factual narratives. She successfully leads UK and international teams to develop and craft visually compelling stories for returnable series, single documentaries, global co-productions and boxsets.

With a keen editorial eye, Nacressa has a proven track record in originating and producing projects from development and commission through to production and final delivery. Her love of storytelling ranges from access-driven documentaries to drama reconstructions around the world, with projects that have included creating a life-size model of Stonehenge and watching pandas with Lucy Liu.

As a development executive, she works alongside creative directors to build relationships, win commissions and develop ideas for some of the UK’s most reputable factual indies, including True North Productions, DSP, Dragonfly and Candour Productions.

As a series producer-director, her natural habitat is specialist factual, with credits including such returnable formats as Britain’s Most Luxurious Train Journeys (Channel 4, 2023), Bloody Tales (National Geographic, 2012-2014) and the premium, international single documentary The Miracle Panda with Lucy Liu (Paramount/Chinese CICC TV, 2022). She is currently working with Emmy-winning production company Bigger Bang on a premium, true crime survivor boxset for a streamer (to be announced).

Nacressa has an exemplary reputation for negotiating difficult access and working with new and diverse talent. This includes recent funded development with a British rock band, working with international organisations, such as Washington DC’s National Zoo, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Crossrail, and with individuals during the most difficult and sensitive times, including children.
