Livie Dalee, an Actor and Writer from Hull, East Yorkshire, is awarded the Thompson Family BAFTA Scholarship to support her final year of studies in the BA Acting course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Livie’s passion for acting and creativity blossomed through her involvement with the Hull Truck Youth Theatre, where she first discovered her love for the stage. Alongside her college studies, she performed in a variety of professional productions at Hull Truck Theatre, where she also began working as a Youth Theatre Assistant. She continues to contribute to the theatre during the summer months, finding joy in encouraging children from her local community to engage in the arts.

Livie is a member of the National Youth Theatre and completed their summer course in Northampton, made possible by funding from Hey Act. Her dedication and talent also led her to become a member of the John Godber Foundation, which has provided valuable support to her as a young actor in training from East Yorkshire.

“I am so grateful and honoured to be awarded the BAFTA Scholarship. As someone from a working-class background, this opportunity will help me immensely both financially and professionally during my final year and beyond. I cannot express enough how valuable the knowledge and support from the BAFTA mentorship will be. It has opened up a door for me and my future career that I am so excited to go through. Thank you for this incredible opportunity and offer of support.”
