Juliana Hoffpauir
Costume Designer
Juliana combines her lifelong passions for performance and storytelling with her expertise as a Costume Designer in film and television. Her most recent project, “Hit Man,” directed by Richard Linklater and featuring Glen Powell, premiered at the prestigious 2023 Venice Film Festival, where it received critical acclaim and was subsequently acquired by Netflix at the Toronto Film Festival. “Hit Man” is the compelling story of Gary Johnson, a professor who partners with law enforcement and masquerades as an assassin-for-hire to facilitate sting operations. The film features a variety of disguises, allowing Juliana to demonstrate her talent for illustrating a character’s development through thoughtfully designed costumes that subtly convey their evolution throughout the narrative.
Throughout her career, Juliana has steadily advanced in the film industry, beginning with roles in the art department and later assisting in the costume department. She has served as the key costumer on notable films such as “Green Book,” “One Night in Miami,” “Emancipation,” “Astronaut Wives Club,” and “Deep Water Horizon.” In addition to these roles, her costume design credits also include projects like “12 Mighty Orphans,” “The Blazing World,” “Sister Aimee,” and “I’ll Be There.”
