In conversation with... Stacey Dooley
LAMDA-trained Javone will be a familiar face to anyone who has watched PhoneShop (Retort/Channel 4), in which he starred as Jerwayne, and The Javone Prince Show (BBC), a variety/comedy sketch show, for which he was nominated for a BAFTA for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme in 2016.
He has acted in Death in Paradise (Red Planet Pictures/BBC), Dodger (BBC/NBC), The Dumping Ground (CBBC), Find Me in Paris (Cottonwood Media/ZDF/Hulu), Horrible Histories (Lion Television/CBBC), Little Miss Jocelyn (BBC), Maxxx (Channel 4) and Sliced (Dave). He also had roles in No Time to Die (Universal), Cruella (Disney), Paddington 2 (Warner) and Yesterday (Working Title). Theatre productions include William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, Titus Andronicus and Richard III.
As well as being a BAFTA-nominated actor, Javone is a talented writer. He co-wrote The Javone Prince Show with Phil Bowker, and wrote additional material for Comedy Showcase (Channel 4) and the pilot episode of Sticky (BBC Three).
