Farrah Solim is a senior casting producer and senior producer, who has worked in the British television industry for 20-plus years. She started her career as a researcher and has gone on to work across a variety of genres and formats, including primetime factual entertainment, entertainment, reality, observational documentary, live television and digital content.

Her credits include One Hot Summer (2018), The Great Pottery Throwdown, Hot Property (both 2019), The Rap Game UK and Football, Prince William & Our Mental Health (both 2020), all for the BBC; Ramadan Diaries (2013) and Four in a Bed (2015-2016), for Channel 4; and Eamonn & Ruth: How the Other Half Lives (2015), screened on Channel 5. Her impressive list of clients include Eleven Film, Lime Pictures, Studio Lambert, Renegade Pictures and Ricochet TV.

Farah is passionate about representing diverse voices and wants to tell heartfelt stories on such sensitive subjects as race, sexuality, gender and mental health. She is a great people finder and has extensive experience in managing budgets, overseeing schedules and employing large crews.

She’s also an enthusiastic foodie and has worked as producer on Britain’s Top Takeaways and Mary Berry’s Fantastic Feasts, both screened on the BBC in 2022. Farrah added MasterChef (Shine/BBC) to her culinary credits, working as either casting producer or edit producer on the show in 2022-2023.

She is currently working as casting executive on an observational food documentary with international reach for Studio Ramsay Global, the production company founded by celebrated chef Gordon Ramsay. As well as developing social media content around food, she is also working on creating and launching her own food podcast.
