Emily Everdee is a BIFA-nominated film producer, who develops screen projects through her own company, Everdee Media, with a focus on telling compelling, audience-facing stories from distinct, authentic voices. Current feature projects on the slate include a queer drama from Louisa Connolly-Burnham, a monster horror from Cassiah Joski-Jethi and a romance thriller from Courteney Tan.

Emily has produced or executive produced multiple short films since 2015, with a few of her recent productions being John Ogunmuyiwa’s BIFA-nominated Mandem (2020), which played at the BFI London Film Festival; Courteney Tan’s 2023 Iris Prize-nominated queer short, Longing (2023), now streaming on Channel 4; and Louisa Connolly-Burnham’s 2024 queer drama, Sister Wives (2024), starring BAFTA’s EE Rising Star 2024 winner, Mia McKenna-Bruce.

Emily also served as associate producer on the 2024 feature film release Layla, produced by Fox Cub Films for Film4/BFI. This had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January followed by a European premiere at BFI Flare in March. Emily serves as a freelance development and production executive for Fox Cub.

She is also a visiting tutor at the National Film & Television School on its MA Producing and Diploma in Production Management courses. Earlier in her career, she was selected for the BFI South East Producers Programme in 2020, the EIFF Talent Lab in 2021 and BAFTA x BFI Flare’s mentorship programme in 2022. She is a BAFTA member and BIFA voter.
