(She/Her)

Eloise’s breakthrough project is the immersive gaming experience The Pirate Queen: No Safe Waters.

From the moment she stepped onto her first film set, Eloise immediately felt at home. Seeing so many people with completely different skills come together to make something extraordinary struck a chord and she knew she’d found her place.

Starting out as a runner, moving into development (via a detour into food styling), and then founding Singer Studios, Eloise has always had a clear direction – wanting to tell stories that captivate. Really, truly believing in the stories she’s telling is the driving force behind all her work and is what she says keeps her pushing to create new experiences that will inspire audiences.

So, as a multitalented producer, writer and director, it’s hardly surprising that Eloise’s breakthrough project, The Pirate Queen: No Safe Waters, is as multidisciplinary as she is. Bringing Cheng Shih’s extraordinary story to life has been a labour of love. Despite being the most powerful pirate in history, she remains largely unknown, and Eloise has spent almost a decade sharing her story.

For Eloise, seeing people finally step inside Cheng Shih’s world is “incredibly special”, giving audiences the opportunity to connect with a remarkable chapter of history in an entirely new way.

In her own words…

“It can take years to get something made, and there are so many rejections along the way. Starting a company young was much harder than I ever imagined, but it’s taught me to be tenacious, resourceful and unafraid to do things a bit differently. I think that’s why I’m so drawn to stories about people who’ve been underestimated. I’ve learnt how much it takes to keep going when the odds feel stacked against you…”

“I’m inspired by people who refuse to be defined by what others think they’re capable of, particularly extraordinary women whose stories have been overlooked. I love rebellious, complicated, badass characters who’ve fought for everything they’ve achieved.”
