Barrington Paul Robinson

Barrington Paul Robinson is a creative producer, who quit 15 years of working in finance to build a catalogue of short films and music promos that have screened all round the world.

In 2020, Barrington broke into HETV, co-producing four episodes and producing the final episode of the BAFTA-nominated BBC drama The Responder (2022), starring Martin Freeman and Adelayo Adedayo. He also produced a block on A Town Called Malice (2023) for Sky and the opening block on forthcoming Disney+ drama A Thousand Blows, created by Steven Knight and starring Malachi Kirby, Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty. He has just finished producing the second season of The Responder, which aired in May 2024 and received many five-star critical reviews.

Barrington is the co-creator of Creative Producers Lab for BFI Network across the Film Hubs North & Midlands, now in its sixth year. He is also on the Local Visitor Economy Partnership board for Liverpool City Region, responsible for film and television. He is a BAFTA voting member and BFI Insight producer and former UK Film Council Breakthrough Brits and Screen International Star of Tomorrow.

Since relocating to Liverpool, Barrington has been developing captivating ideas with UK and international talent for film and television. Inspired by the past and powered by the future, he plans to continue finding talent and sharing stories through his production company, Redbag Pictures.
