Abhinav Chokhavatia

Abhinav’s breakthrough project is the game Down and Out.

Abhinav Chokhavatia cut his teeth in the industry at Ubisoft in Canada as a 3D modeler/texture artist, before returning to India to set up Zatun in 2007. Since then, the company has established itself on the world stage, working with top global game developers and publishers while developing its own award-winning IPs. The studio has developed over 20 games across 23+ platforms, including Down and Out and Sniper Rust VR.

Abhinav is currently working on an upcoming horror game for PC and consoles, based on a highly popular fictional IP.

More recently, Abhinav has been exploring the potential for advanced technologies, with launching Hello Metaverse in 2022 as a joint venture with Japanese entertainment content producer Hello Freedom. Its aim is to incorporate the likes of AI, VR, blockchains, NFTs, to redefine digital entertainment as we know it.

I’m excited to join a talented group of creators pushing the boundaries in their respective fields. The Indian games industry is spreading its wings, making this an incredibly exciting time to be involved. Games blend art, technology and design, and I hope that Breakthrough will not only help me grow and learn from the best but also allow me to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life and share my creative vision globally.”
