ANG LEE: Claudio cannot be here tonight. On behalf of him, I receive this great honour.
This is what he wrote. Well, the first half of this speech is about how great it is to work with me, so let's skip that. It's too much. I need to thank everyone at Fox and our worldwide crew for making an possible movie, but I would also like to thank Taichung, Taiwan, for not only the movie but also welcoming me and my family. I would like to thank you India for your beauty that sparks our imagination.
I started in the film business as a stage manager in a small studio in Hollywood. I never thought I would leave that job, now look what happened: yahoo!!
