Red carpet interview with Jeremy Irvine at the EE Britsh Academy Film Awards in 2013.

CAROLINE FLACK:  Jeremy Irvine, how are you?

JEREMY IRVINE:    I'm very well, thank you.  Cold, but, yeah, good.

Q.        It is all right for you men, though, isn't it, with your suits and your trousers?

A.        Yeah, at least we get a jacket, I know.  I just feel so sorry for all these people, you know, who've kind of been here since 6 this morning.  You know, you feel terrible.

Q.        They get to see you, you see.

A.        Oh yeah, lucky things!  My god!

Q.        You look gorgeous; who are you wearing tonight?

A.        I've got Louis Vuitton.

Q.        Beautiful.  You are presenting an award tonight.  What are you presenting tonight?

A.        I'm presenting sound and editing, so, yeah, so I'm going to be -- I was with a director I worked with on a film called Now is Good last night, and he said, "Jeremy, for God's sake, please don't try and be funny again".  That is my advice.

Q.        Do you have any jokes backed up just in case?

A.        Every time I try and make a joke presenting something, I make an absolute fool of myself, so, no, I am staying well away from it.

Q.        Do you get excited with events like this?

A.        Yeah, absolutely, yeah, it's great.  You know, I get to bring my little brother along with me and stuff and -- yeah, Toby there.  He's -- actually just did -- he was the young me in Great Expectations, so --

Q.        That is fantastic.

A.        Yeah, it's good fun.  You know, they're kind of -- yeah, they're just good fun, these things.

Q.        Are you hoping to bump into anybody you know tonight?

A.        Yeah, I don't know -- it is quite nice, the first time I came here, I didn't really know anyone, so it's quite nice that now I kind of -- at least there are a few familiar faces, I guess.

Q.        What is next for you?

A.        I am just off to go and shoot a movie called The World Made Straight in North Carolina.  I've got a movie called The Railway Man coming out next this year, so yeah...

Q.        It's a good life, isn't it?

A.        It's all right.  It's all right.

Q.        Well, good luck tonight, don't make any jokes.

A.        Absolutely not, no.
