BAFTA today welcomes seven leading industry figures to its Film, Games and Television committees, who have been elected by BAFTA’s global membership: Alison Barnett, Iain Canning, Charu Desodt, Alyx Jones, Caroline Levy, Ray Panthaki, and Barnaby Thompson. 

BAFTA recently surveyed 1000 full and Connect members working primarily in TV (c.26% response rate), to inform a panel discussion at Edinburgh TV Festival 2023 on industry recruitment and retention, chaired by BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip.

BAFTA today publishes its latest membership data as part of an ongoing commitment to represent the full breadth and diversity of talent across the screen industries within the Academy. 

We are deeply saddened by the news that Sir Sydney Samuelson – former BAFTA Chair, BAFTA Fellow and recipient of the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award – has passed away.
