BAFTA confirms date for Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards nominations

Nominations for BAFTA’s Television Awards and Television Craft Awards to be announced on Thursday 4 June

Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment shortlist will be announced on Wednesday 3 June

New dates and formats for the ceremonies to be announced soon

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today confirmed that the nominations for this year’s Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards will be announced on Thursday 4 June.

The nominations for Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment - the only Award voted for by the public - will be announced on Wednesday 3 June.

Amanda Berry OBE, Chief Executive at BAFTA, said: “We are thrilled to confirm the new date for our nominations announcement, for both the Virgin Media BAFTAs and the Television Craft Awards. During this difficult time, we want to applaud the fantastic efforts of the many talented individuals, both behind and in-front of the camera, many of whom have continued to inform and entertain the nation in recent weeks. We look forward to announcing more details about the ceremonies soon.”

Originally scheduled for March 2020, the nominations announcement was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

BAFTA continues to monitor current guidance on TV productions and live events. New dates and formats for both the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards will be announced soon.
